How accurate are the found email addresses?

Where does the data come from?
We have multiple data sources: social networks, web pages, SMTP servers, DNS servers. Please note that all the found email addresses are dynamically verified before to be displayed to you. This allows us to provide you with always up-to-date data.
Are the email addresses guessed or found somewhere?
Both. Then, we try to verify each email address. If an email address cannot be verified, it is labelled as “guessed”.
Is Vloum’s data more focussed on a specific geographic area?
We have best-in-class contact data for Americas, Europe, Africa and Middle-East. In Asia, our email discovery rate decreases from an average of 80% to an average of 50%.
What is the purpose of an email verifier?
If you already have a list of email addresses, you might want to verify it before to send actual emails. If your list includes erroneous email addresses, some of your emails will bounce. Bounce rates above 5% tend to damage your sender reputation. Once your reputation reaches certain thresholds, the mail servers of your recipients move your emails to the spam folder.
Does Vloum send an email to validate an email address?
No, we never do that.
What does Vloum check to verify an email address?
Vloum sends a RCPT TO request to the SMTP server of the recipient. We also perform additional checks: MX records, disposable domains, alias patterns, domain reputation. We do not check for spam trap email addresses.
Can a "Verified" email address bounce?
We cannot guarantee an absolute zero. However, verified email addresses will have a very low bounce rate (<0,5% to <0,01%).
How can I find email addresses if I have domains only?
Yes. If your input list has domains only (no first and last names), then Vloum will search for generic role-based email addresses, such as info@domain, contact@domain, and admin@domain.
Can I find the email addresses of a list of people?
Yes. Upload your Excel file and Vloum will perform a bulk search.
Why doesn't Vloum return any result and how can it be fixed?
If Vloum does not return any result, something wrong happened. Check the quality of your input data. For more support, contact our support team at
support@vloum.com.
How is Vloum different from other enrichment tools?
Vloum has a higher email discovery rate and a higher email deliverability rate.

Why doesn't Vloum return any result and how can it be fixed?
In average, 1 single search takes 1 to 3 seconds. The duration for a bulk search is proportional to the number of prospects in the input file.
